Nantucket Young Playwrights

Filmmaker and teacher Jay Craven worked with island students this spring, developing original 10-minute plays that emphasize stories and characters facing and dealing with challenges, obstacles, and conflicts . Each iteration produces wonderful surprises of craft and imagination – and this year’s selection is no exception. The plays will be performed at the White Heron Theatre by professional actors in a staged reading . Nantucket Young Playwrights is produced by the White Heron Theater Company, Nantucket Atheneum, Kingdom County Productions and the Nantucket Book Festival.
