31st Annual Organ Crawl
Doors of St. Mary’s open at 9 am. Concerts begin at St. Mary’s church at 9:30am and then moving throughout Town, the Organ Crawl will feature five of Nantucket’s mechanical action pipe organs and is presented free of charge (donations are gratefully accepted).
The Organ Crawl offers a rare opportunity to hear in a single morning 5 mechanical pipe organs on Nantucket, which were built and renovated over a span of nearly 200 years. Stroll from church to church along Nantucket’s historic streets to hear and experience the island’s pipe organ treasures featuring Jeff Cutts, minister of music, First Congregational Church, and Joe Hammer, director of music and organist, St. Paul’s Church (Episcopal). Attend all five performances, or simply drop in and drop out as your schedule permits.
