A Festival of Lessons and Carols

Please join Senior Minister, The Rev. Dr. Stephen Butler Murray, Minister of Music Jeffrey Cutts, violinist Jordan Delphos, vocalists Elizabeth Coffin, Laine Cutts, Tom Peppard, and Libby Veilleux, and the choir of First Congregational Church in a celebration of traditional Advent and Christmas hymns and instrumental pieces by Richter, Vivaldi, and other composers.

Our Service of Lessons and Carols is inspired by the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols held each Christmas Eve in King’s College Chapel, Cambridge, England. The Festival was introduced in 1918 to bring a more imaginative approach to worship and was first broadcast in 1928. The service is now broadcast each year to millions of people around the world.
