Free Concert Featuring the Boston Civic Symphony
The Boston Civic Symphony returns to Nantucket for a performance with the Nantucket Island Youth Orchestra in Nantucket High School Auditorium.
The program features a special appearance by Nantucket resident John Shea, narrating Aaron Copland’s A Lincoln Portrait, alongside:
- Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar
- A world premiere by Thomas Peppard
Professional musicians and Nantucket students will perform both separately and together, culminating in a shared orchestral performance.
