Author and screenwriter, Kirk Wallace Johnson, will be in conversation with Mindy Todd (WCAI’s The Point) to discuss his most recent book, The Fishermen and the Dragon: Fear, Greed, and a Fight for Justice on the Gulf Coast. Join us as we hear about Johnson’s investigation into the racial violence between white fishermen and Vietnamese immigrants in 1970’s Texas when pollution began to affect the shrimping business and frightened fishermen needed a group to blame.
