Nantucket Cranberry Harvest Tour

Nantucket Conservation Fondation | Nantucket, MA
October 7, 2020 @ 9:00 am

As we have had to cancel the Nantucket Cranberry Festival this year, we are pleased to offer instead a guided tour to celebrate and see the living history of Cranberry growing at the Milestone Cranberry Bog on Nantucket. Join Interpretive Education Coordinator Neil Foley & Cranberry Bog Manager Nick Larrabee as they walk participants through the bogs at harvest to talk about the process of cultivating this crop 30 miles out to sea, the challenges of growing cranberries in a changing climate, and the innovation and history behind America’s Founding Fruit.

2.25 mile walking route on gravel roads.

10 person limit per tour based on MA state guidelines for guided tours. All participants must wear masks, be 6 feet apart, and follow current Massachusetts quarantine guidelines.

All tours are FREE and open to the public. Registration is required.
