A Nantucket Night

Inspired by the 2026 featured exhibition, Wider World & Scrimshaw, A Nantucket Night will celebrate the NHA’s extraordinary scrimshaw collection. Built through more than a century of dedicated collecting, the NHA’s collections are among the most significant in the world. In addition to showcasing select works, the evening will explore the art of scrimshaw itself and the global influences drawn from the many countries visited during whaling voyages.

Evenings such as A Nantucket Night help bring the NHA’s mission to life by generating essential support for ongoing storytelling through its collections, properties, programs, and research.

The NHA will host a Community Day, following A Nantucket Night on August 5, to continue celebrating our featured exhibition with family-friendly activities and more!
