Beach Geology Field Trip

Join MMA staff to learn about the fascinating ecology, and geology of Nantucket’s unique shoreline. We will explore and investigate the shells, bones and lore of various types of marine plants and animals we encounter. What’s that fish, snail, stone and shore bird? Was that a seal?! Come get your ankles wet and start your training as a professional Nantucket beachcomber!

This program is designed to be interesting for adults and children ages 8 and older. Beach Geology meets at the the MMA Aquarium, 32 Washington Street, Nantucket. All registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult to participate in this program. Pre-registration is suggested, walk ins subject to availability. Program begins promptly at start time and late arrivals may be turned away.
