From Lightships to Baskets: A Nantucket Crafting Workshop
Nantucket Island has a history of basketmaking, developed in the second half of the 19th century by those who manned the lightships that warned of dangerous waters around the island.
Join AAN and the Egan Maritime Institute for a special evening workshop at the Lifesaving Museum and craft a small coiled basket using seagrass and raffia. No experience needed!
