Harmonica Workshop with Grammy Winner Scott Billington

Learn the basics of blues and folk harmonica with Grammy-winning blues producer and musician Scott Billington, at the Nantucket Atheneum on Saturday, August 3 at 11 AM. You’ll delve into basic playing techniques and leave the workshop with the ability to play several songs and a signature blues riff. Class size is limited to fifteen students, aged 12 and up. Harmonicas and a handout are provided to registered participants.

New Orleans resident Billington has produced Grammy-winning records by blues artists such as Bobby Rush, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, and Irma Thomas, but his first musical love has always been the harmonica, on which he has performed around the world with artists such as Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas, Sleepy LaBeef, and Johnette Downing.
