Nantucket Blues: An Indigo Shibori Dyeing Workshop: July

Join us as we learn about Shibori, a Japanese dyeing technique with indigo. You will enjoy a hands onexperience producing an indigo vat and using it to create your own Shibori piece. One large tea towel will be provided for designing the shibori pattern of your choice. Please feel free to bring one small personal item of your choice to dye, and if time and supplies permit, we will add these to the indigo vat. (items must be pre-washed and should be 100% cotton or linen. Suggested items include: pillowcase, canvas tote, scarf) The provided tea towel is yours to take home, as a reminder of your day on Nantucket exploring the art of Indigo Shibori Dyeing.
