Opening Night Celebration: Intimate Strangers — Connection through the Power of Books
The Nantucket Book Festival invites everyone to the Sanctuary of the Unitarian Meeting house for our Opening Celebration, which extols the transformative power of words to inspire, illuminate, educate and connect us to each other through our shared humanity. Authors Qian Julie Wang, Mitchell Jackson, and Azar Nafisi will help us understand the bridge imaginative literature can span between readers and writers. We will also recognize the Island’s youth who show great promise as writers with the Young Writer Awards, a perennial cornerstone of the Festival.
