The Great North American Eclipse Day of Event

Join the Maria Mitchell Association astronomers and staff, in collaboration with the Nantucket Public Schools, the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club, and the Nantucket Community School, for a free and safe viewing of the upcoming Great North American solar eclipse.

We welcome visitors to stop by Nantucket High School’s old baseball field between 2:30 and 4:30pm to check out the view of the Sun using our safe solar telescope, sun spotter, and special keepsake MMA eclipse glasses. There will be different stations and activities for safe solar viewing. No registration necessary.
