Sandcastle Contest
Nantucket Island School of Design and the Arts founded this event in 1975, and today the Sandcastle Contest is co-sponsored by NISDA and the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce. It began with neighborhood families getting together at the beach with a picnic to enjoy time together building sand castles and has now grown to include our whole Nantucket Community and Island Visitors – many coming from afar and returning year after year to participate!
