Tour the Brant Point Shellfish Hatchery!

The Brant Point Shellfish Hatchery, located on Brant Point Beach next to the lighthouse, is a Town of Nantucket-operated facility that specializes in producing Nantucket Bay Scallops to supplement the wild population in Nantucket and Madaket Harbors.

Tours take place Tuesdays at 11 AM during the summer, with sign-ups available two weeks in advance. Please complete a separate registration form for each person in your party. Space is limited to 20 participants per tour.

Please note: the facility is not handicap accessible. Parking is available at the Easton Street circle.
