Tracking Phenology

In our Community Science Workshop Series, we learn by doing! You can help collect data used by researchers locally and around the world.

The featured Community Science project for April is Phenology, the study of nature’s timing of seasonal changes. At LLNF, we’ve been studying the phenology of plant species on our property to documents changes to the timing of natural events like plants budding or leafing out. This virtual workshop will teach participants about how to collect your own phenology data, and how it is used by researchers in a national network.

Virtual workshop attendees will have the opportunity to attend an optional in-person field trip to test out their new skills!
