The Wordsmith Circle is intended to create a space for local writers to create, connect, and learn. Rotating between classic writer’s workshops, close readings of poems, and lessons on craft, the group will meet once a week in a friendly, in person community space allowing for flexibility depending on the participants' current works in progress. Hosted by Writer and Workshop Leader, Forest Lindsey & Atheneum Adult Programs Coordinator & Poet, Sean Allen.
Forest Lindsey is an MFA graduate from Columbia University’s creative writing group with a concentration in poetry. He has experience teaching creative writing at The Fortune Society and through Columbia’s CA/T program. Forest feels fueled by creative work and loves learning from other writers. He is excited by all of the writers he has met on the island, and believes in the importance of creative community collaborative spaces.
